Jakarta. Indonesian martial artist Stefer Rahardian is excited to face Cambodia's Sim Bunsrun in a flyweight division match at ONE Championship's "Total Victory" series, which is set to take place at the Jakarta Convention Center on Saturday (16/09).
Stefer has been unbeaten with six wins and no losses. In his April's outing in Manila, the 30-year-old outperformed local combatant Eugene Toquero and won in three rounds.
"I am very excited to return to fight in this Asia's leading martial arts arena. I really look forward to the fight to boost my ranking in the One Championship flyweight class," said Stefer, who's been training in Bali.
Bunsrun, 24, has appeared twice in the ONE Championship cage, winning with compatriot Kun Sichan in 2015 and outpointing China's Liu Peng Shuai a year later.
Bunsrun's return is anticipated by Stefer.
"I always talk to myself to keep improving every day. As professionals we need to raise standard any time," Stefer said. "I know that level in this martial arts is going to evolve fast."
The main bout of the Saturday's event will see flyweight world champion Kairat Akhmetov of Kazakhstan taking on Geje "Gravity" Eustaquio of the Philippines.
